Joshua Hernandez changed his major from math as a junior when UNC Charlotte launched the first School of Data Science in the Carolinas. That means Joshua, who trained as a medic in he Army Reserve and is part of the ROTC program at the school, wonβt have to wait until grad school to immerse himself in a cutting-edge field with skills in high demand by employers.
Student-athlete and new grad Ryan Braithwaite is using his background from his finance and business administration majors at UNC Charlotte to further develop a mobile app intended to reduce tension in police encounters for people of color.
