Celebrating Clients with Swagger

Patrick and Michelle Melchior are the talented duo behind Leather By Dragonfly. Together, they handcraft beautiful and useful leather items, including aprons, totes, purses and clutches. I am delighted to work with them on their marketing communications. They are hardworking and humble.

They also have swagger — or rather, SWAGGER.

They recently were profiled in SWAGGER, North America’s premier digital-first modern men’s luxury lifestyle publication. The magazine bills itself as “the rising go-to resource for the ambitious, successful and influential gentlemen of today.”

I can’t take credit for the media placement. A SWAGGER representative found Leather By Dragonfly online and contacted them last fall about a potential feature. With the holiday season, Michelle and Patrick were incredibly busy. But we worked with the magazine to get their products featured in two holiday gift guides, 20 Holiday Gifts for Every Budget and Stocking Stuffers.

More recently, we worked with SWAGGER on the feature by writer Daver Gordon that was posted on June 9, 2021.

Patrick, a woodworker by hobby, remembers “walking in sawdust since I was a boy” when his father – also a woodworker – built cabinets, coffee tables and nightstands. Into adulthood Patrick continued that desire to build and create. Meanwhile, his wife Michelle has been a sewing artist for decades.

The two put their talents together to create Leather By Dragonfly, producing high-quality bespoke leather aprons, totes, purses and clutches.

Thing is, they never planned it that way. “It was by sheer accident,” Patrick said of how the company began.

Congratulations, Michelle and Patrick, on this well-deserved recognition!
